When this site began, I decided to teach myself html. If the things I’ve written on this site had a theme, it would be “stuff that puzzles me.” The list below is more or less random. Factoids that pertain to my life.
- # 33, live in MKE. Grew up in Seattle.
- # B.S. to Ph.D. in 32 months. I admit to smart. I don’t believe in “smarter”.
- # I don’t own a T.V. and am basically clueless about what has been on T.V. since - say - 1987. This is only made worse by the eccentric activities I engage in while not watching TV. Such as memorizing Shakespeare’s soliloquies. (Come on - you do it too, admit it.)
I’ve been meaning to get a projector to watch movies, but we’ll see when that happens.I did acquire a projector, finally! You have not lived until you’ve watched Metalocalypse on the big screen. I have yet to use the word “jiggy” in a sentence, but I remain hopeful. - # I am an introvert.
- # At this point in the list, I feel that you may come to the judgment that I’m a snot. I hope you would not think so meeting me in person.
- # Being sociable is important to me, although I admit to approaching it like a scientist in weaker moments. There are two things I am trying to do in my life right now. First, do no harm. Second, have (be?) a smile that does not make demands.
- # I am a novice mechanic, and have a pretty nice older car that goes by “Lola”. As in, “Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets.” I wish I had more time to work on her and understood better what I ought to be doing with her.

I often have a hard time falling asleep.(bike racing sorts that one right quick) - # I have my first “real” job and have squandered nearly all of my salary on paying off student loans and other such debts. I’m broke.
- # My little brother is one of my personal heroes and very favorite person.
- # My technical, art-making (drawing) skills are pretty damn good, but I almost never make art. Shame on me.
- # I am divorced. My former husband is sometimes referred to as the HB on this site. I wish him the best. Getting divorced was one of the best things that I’ve ever done, and I don’t mean that in a flippant or callous way.
- # I grew up in Seattle, and I like it when it rains.
