I drove past a vacuum repair shop this week that is a bit of an icon in the industrial section of town. Creatures made out of vacuums adorn the stucco wall encircling it’s small parking lot. I’ve always liked that shop, perhaps because I remember seeing it as a child. It’s the type of thing that would appeal to a kid, but really, who can resist a DirtDevil modified with little red horns and a pitchfork? Now, they have also modified their signboards to advertise that they are giving away Bibles. What’s lame was that the signs have those funny (like funny-sick) slogans, e.g., “You can Fly or you can FRY!” That just takes sucking to a whole new level.
